Kino Disk presents American Dub Electronics — a snapshot compilation into the current state of electronic dub music in America, gathering close friends and like-minded artists associated with the Chicago label into a single, cohesive document. Eleven tracks across two sides that map a community rather than a trend, each contributor bringing their own distinct angle to a shared language of ambient, dub techno and experimental electronics.
From Eustress and Infant — both of whom have released on the label previously — to Psalm Star Electric, Ring, HPIN, Point Source and 8004, the compilation demonstrates the depth and breadth of what is quietly one of the most vital scenes currently operating in American underground electronics. Unhurried, immersive and entirely focused on the music itself, American Dub Electronics is the kind of compilation that rewards repeated listening and reveals new detail with each pass — a label in full command of its identity and the community it has built around it.
