Inverted Audio Record Store follows the Goldmine Standard for grading vinyl records.
We prioritise accurate, conservative grading to ensure customer confidence.
All Used Records are visually inspected, cleaned and, where necessary, play-tested. Grading reflects both vinyl condition and overall listening experience.
Mint (M)
Absolutely perfect in every way. The record is unplayed, with no marks or imperfections. Often still sealed.
Near Mint (NM)
A nearly perfect record. The vinyl has been played but shows no obvious signs of wear. Playback is clean, with no audible defects.
Very Good+ (VG+)
A well-cared-for record that shows light signs of use. Minor surface marks may be visible but do not significantly affect playback. Occasional light surface noise may be present.
Very Good (VG)
Noticeable signs of wear, including surface marks and light scratches. Surface noise will be audible, particularly in quieter passages, but the record plays through without major issues.
Good (G)
A well-used record with significant wear. Surface noise, scratches and groove wear will be clearly audible. The record will play through without skipping but with reduced sound quality.
Sleeve Condition
Unless stated otherwise, sleeve condition reflects similar grading standards:
NM / VG+: Minor wear, light creasing or edge wear
VG: Visible wear, seam splits or marks
G: Heavy wear, damage or significant ageing
Notes
We aim to grade conservatively to avoid overstatement. If you have any questions about a specific item, feel free to get in touch before purchasing.
