Stephen Hitchell’s Intrusion project delivers one of dub techno’s most enduring moments with A Gentle Embrace, a release that has only deepened in impact over the years. Originally issued in 2015 and now repressed for 2026, the record presents two beautifully remastered versions drawn from the original Detroit session recordings.

The title track unfolds as pure, meditative dub techno — drifting pads, deep bass pressure and subtle field textures forming an expansive, immersive soundscape. On the flip, the Reduced version distils the elements further, allowing cavernous echoes, glacial atmospheres and hypnotic low-end to breathe with stunning clarity.

Remastered by Stefan Betke (Pole) at Scape Mastering in Berlin from the original session masters, this limited coloured vinyl edition captures the depth and warmth of Intrusion’s timeless sound — deep, spacious and endlessly absorbing.
