A strong four-tracker from Wolf Music showcasing the deeper side of the label’s aesthetic. Session Victim opens with the jazzy, sample-driven shuffle of “Random Blues,” followed by Medlar’s groove-laden “Carry It,” full of lush chords and crisp percussion. On the flip, Squarehead delivers the low-slung house burner “Be Without,” while Ishmael rounds it out with the off-kilter and percussive “Au Juju.” A varied and warm release capturing the best of UK deep house.
