The third edition of Night Defined Recordings' limited various artist series arrives on the occasion of the label's 2025 Japan tour — four tracks across hand embossed sleeves, bringing new faces to the NDR roster alongside label owner and regular Juergen Vonbank. Luxembourg duo Nothing in Common, Salzburg's markmechanik and Berlin's Tresor resident LNS each make their NDR debut, and the record is all the stronger for the breadth of voices it brings together.
Four tracks that span breakbeat, leftfield house and techno with the focused, characterful energy that has defined the NDR various artist series from the outset. Nothing in Common open proceedings with It Never Ends Well, Vonbank's Inside ) ( OUT carries the A-side with his signature depth and groove, before LNS and markmechanik take the flip in two distinct directions — the Tresor resident's SUBBA bringing a Berlin-honed techno sensibility, markmechanik's DELTADREAMER closing the record with something altogether more expansive and atmospheric. A well-sequenced and cohesive document from a label with a clear sense of what it stands for.
