Project Indigo's third various artist compilation arrives across two records and nine tracks — the Zurich label's most expansive collection to date, drawing together a cast of artists who share a sensibility rather than a sound. Ambient, breaks, deep house and downtempo move through the four sides with the unhurried, open-eared quality that has made Project Indigo one of the more distinctive voices in the current Swiss underground.
Label mainstays Lb Honne and Boaksi anchor the compilation alongside Flabaire, Iltaa, Boaksi, Tibi Dabo, Sœnne, Hame, Ben Kaczor and Hobie — a diverse but cohesive lineup whose contributions range from sun-warmed deep house and broken rhythms to more introspective ambient and downtempo territory. The sequencing moves with a natural, unhurried logic, each track given room to breathe within the whole. A well-considered statement from a label with a clear ear and a growing catalogue worth paying close attention to.
