Baltimore label and collaborative duo TV HILL, made up of Brandon Riggs (dimneonsum) and Andrew Grant (OGAG), return to their own imprint with their fourth vinyl release. Following the success of the fffFacts EP, ATR!P cements their club-ready sound across House, Minimal, Techno and Acid tones, and it has already found support from DJs including Marcel Dettmann, who played it in his Kappa Futur set b2b Ben Klock. Dimneonsum is a DJ, quirky beat maker and co-founder of the label. Grant is a long-time resident at Circoloco at DC10 in Ibiza.
The EP compiles abstract grooves with a Baltimore-infused sound, four vinyl tracks plus one digital-only. OKEE opens with four-to-the-floor percussion and chugging bass, industrial textures meandering through a hazy soundscape. CIRCULATE is charged with acid-infused synths and featherweight, suspenseful hi-hats, while A SINGLE BLOOM is a two-step club tool sprayed with fragmented textures and an airy overhead. The title track closes the record with ambient pads and otherworldly electronics, bringing it to a slower, more introspective end.
