Intertoto - If I Take You Home (Michael J. Blood Mixes)

What About Never introduces Intertoto with If I Take You Home - a tracky, late-night house instrumental that captures the liminal mood between the club and the afterglow. Bridging the eclectic spirit of the Motor City with the raw, textural sensibilities of European contemporaries like NWAQ and Kassem Mosse, Intertoto filters these influences through the experimental undercurrents of Scotland’s underground.

Country: UK
Released: 2013
Genre: Electronic
Style: Abstract, Ambient, Experimental
Condition: Mint

Cowboys (For Karen) marks a collaboration between Torn Hawk and Karen Gwyer on No Pain In Pop that balances haze, texture, and skeletal structure.

“Gauze (Spread)” opens the record with a fragile distortive ambience that dissolves into space before “Cowboys” steps forward with repetitive percussive drive and murmured melody. “Grace Scrawl” drifts in darker tone—skipping beats and echo-laced synths—and “Oak & Sludge” buries itself in weight, its rhythms dense and immersive.

The closing cut, “Gauze (Sped),” reframes the opening piece, speeding up the pulse and bringing a subtle edge of urgency. A release for listeners who lean into the margins and appreciate nuance over immediacy.
