Steve Poindexter's Classic Collection Vol 1 brings three essential tracks back to wax on Muzique Records — a limited edition collection that documents one of Chicago's most distinctive and undersung voices in acid, techno and house. Poindexter has long been a cult figure in the city's underground, and these three tracks demonstrate exactly why his reputation has endured so completely.

Jam The Body in its 1992 original form opens the A-side with the raw, acid-driven energy that made Poindexter's early output so immediately compelling — functional, physical and carrying the distinctive Chicago stamp throughout. State Of Shock follows with equal conviction before the original uncut version of Short Circuit occupies the entire B-side, given the room it always deserved to fully unfold. Essential archive material from one of the genre's great originals, restored to circulation in limited quantities.

A1. Jam The Body (1992 Original)
A2. State Of Shock
B. Short Circuit (Original Uncut Version)
