Faith Beat’s sixteenth release comes from label head Ryan Elliott — and after seven years away from releasing music, Tribute arrives with all the understated, groove-led conviction that has always defined his approach. Four tracks that move with a clear sense of progression: warm, chord-led nostalgia through stripped-back, headsy rollers before building into something more emotional and driving. It doesn’t get much more Ryan Elliott than this.
Makin Time opens the A-side with the warmth and chord-led depth that sets the record’s emotional tone immediately before the title track carries that feeling into slightly more inward, meditative territory. Never Ever and The Bounce close the flip with the headsy, driving energy the progression has been building toward — understated, groove-led and never overworked, each track earning its place in a sequence that rewards the full listen from first to last. A return worth waiting seven years for.
