Quadrant – Infinition / Hyperprism is a 12" release by Quadrant, which is actually a Basic Channel side project — once again Moritz Von Oswald and Mark Ernestus under another name.

Infinition is deep, swirling, and hypnotic. It’s built around a rolling, sub-heavy bassline, submerged rhythmic patterns, and layers of crackling static and atmospheric hiss. Hyperprism is even more atmospheric — slower, more vaporous, and slightly more abstract than Infinition.

Infinition / Hyperprism represents Basic Channel still figuring out their signature sound — more raw and forceful than the later, smoother records like Phylyps Trak II or Octagon / Octaedre.
