Emerging from Glasgow in 2000 via the enigmatic producer Pub on his equally mysterious Ampoule imprint, the album occupied a space between The Black Dog, Chain Reaction and Irdial that felt less like influence and more like a missing link — a record that belonged to a lineage it was simultaneously inventing.
It has since become the stuff of local folklore, one of the most celebrated documents of the UK's IDM and ambient lineage, and — bizarrely, gloriously — a record that somehow made its way into the Billboard Top 100.
