Country: UK
Released: Jun 2020
Genre: Electronic
Style: Dub, Techno, Minimal
Condition: Near Mint

Pretty Sneaky is the enigmatic self-titled debut album from the anonymous artist known as Pretty Sneaky, released in June 2020 on the UK-based label Mana Records. This double LP comprises four extended tracks—each occupying an entire side of vinyl—that delve into a rich tapestry of dub, ambient, minimal techno, and field recordings.

The album is characterized by its immersive soundscapes, blending natural elements with electronic textures. Field recordings of water, birdsong, and environmental sounds are intricately woven into the fabric of the music, creating a meditative and transportive listening experience. Boomkat describes the album as featuring "exotic melodica, nature sounds and bells with Flanger-esque bass humps," likening it to "a k-hole version of Burnt Friedman & Atom Heart’s early Flanger gear crossed with Burial Mix."

Maintaining a veil of anonymity, Pretty Sneaky allows the music to speak for itself, free from the influence of artist identity. This approach aligns with the ethos of Mana Records, which focuses on publishing works that explore the intersection of contemporary and archival sound.
