Following his 2025 Mnemonic Devices cassette album on Workshop, Philipp Waltinger returns to the German label — operated by Even Tuell and Lowtec — with WORKSHOP 34, a four-track remix EP that distils everything the imprint has built its reputation on. Low-slung leftfield house and techno, moody and atmospheric, skittering and shuffling, dramatic and oddball with a streak of sci-fi running through it. This one has it all.
The original sits alongside three remixes from label stalwarts, each one approaching Waltinger's source material from a distinct angle. Mix Mup opens the record with his own characteristic twist before the original asserts itself on the A-side's second cut. Lowtec and Kassem Mosse take the flip, each remix carrying the unmistakable production fingerprint that has made both producers central to Workshop's identity over the years. A tightly considered package from a label that continues to define its own corner of the leftfield underground.
