American producer Brian Leeds returns as Loidis — a play on his own surname and the alias under which his most intimate and expansive work continues to unfold — with a 110-minute meditation on life, love and dub across three records on Incienso. From The Toolkit Of Lovers was recorded over the summer of 2025 and builds upon the foundation of One Day, Leeds re-presenting the toolkit he has accumulated over fifteen years of work as Huerco S., Pendant and Loidis in a profound and unhurried exploration of what that accumulated knowledge now makes possible.
Twelve tracks, extended by design and built with a soft touch — generous in length, leaving plenty of room for the long blend, speaking to the discerning deejay as much as the dedicated home listener. The categories — micro-house, minimal, dub techno, ambient — are acknowledged and set aside; each is just a way to compress presence, each layer of sound obscuring what you see, each play revealing what was already there.
