Lb Honne's debut long player on Project Indigo is one of the most quietly extraordinary records to emerge from the Swiss underground in recent years. Zurich-based producer Karl Primo presents nine solo tracks spanning warm tonal ambience and deep house tendencies, embellished with effervescent vocals and club-focused frequencies — a debut that arrives fully formed and entirely assured.
The album instils a magical quality reminiscent of Leafar Legov's early output on Giegling, though here the emotional register runs deeper and more heart-strung — the majority of the record pitched toward downtempo and introspective listening before opening outward into a sprinkling of club sonics. Sky Funk is the standout: shuffling shakers and deep house drum work gradually developing an enchanting aura of melancholia that evokes that finite moment when the swollen sun sets beneath the horizon.
