A 2026 repress with full cover artwork by Stefan Marx — Sorry Sun marked Lawrence's debut release on the co-owned Smallville label back in February 2011, and it remains one of the golden era's most perfectly moody statements. Peter Kersten arrives here with three tracks that draw on the magic sound of Nick Holder, the modern grooves of labelmates like Melchior, Pronsato and Christopher Rau, slow Detroit jazz from the early 1970s and classical minimal music — a rich and colourful set of influences distilled into something entirely his own.
Just Like Heaven and Old Joy open the A-side with the deep, unhurried beauty that defines the EP throughout before the title track closes the record with the cosy dancefloor invitation it always promises.
