The second instalment in the Borderland series finds Juan Atkins and Moritz von Oswald deepening their collaborative exploration of rhythmic minimalism and atmospheric dub. 

“Footprints” opens with a subtle, syncopated groove that gradually unfurls, its layered textures and restrained percussion creating a hypnotic, immersive experience. On the B-side, “Mars Garden” introduces a more expansive soundscape, its dub-infused rhythms and ambient elements evoking a sense of vast, otherworldly space. 

Both tracks exemplify the duo’s mastery in blending the mechanical precision of techno with the organic fluidity of dub, resulting in a release that is both introspective and expansive. Limited to 500 copies and pressed on 180g vinyl, this edition is housed in a heavy-duty tip-on sleeve, underscoring the care and attention to detail that defines the Borderland series.
