Thirty years after the release of his seminal Ten Days of Blue, John Beltran returns to his ambient techno roots with Sunrise and the Life We Live — a double LP on Music For Dreams that reaffirms his place as one of the most quietly essential figures in the history of deep, meditative electronic music. Whether through his early collaborative works with Derrick May and Carl Craig or his celebrated solo output on R&S and Peacefrog, Beltran has spent more than two decades extracting emotion from the universe and turning it into something entirely his own.
Ten tracks journey through lush, aerated textures and beatless expanse — hypnotic grooves deepening and blooming in a flow of shapes and colours that is simultaneously meditative and full of life.
