A long-lost vinyl album is back in stock: for the last 20 years, Kosmischer Pitch by Jan Jelinek, originally released in 2005 on ~scape, existed only as a digital download. Right on time for the 20th anniversary the remastered album is available again on vinyl.

'Kosmischer Pitch' represents a shift in Jan Jelinek's sound, blending elements of minimal techno, ambient, and Krautrock inspired psychedelia. The album title itself references "kosmische musik," a term associated with the experimental German electronic and progressive rock scene of the 1970s.

Unlike Jelinek’s earlier glitch-heavy and micro-sampling work under aliases like Farben, Kosmischer Pitch leans into warm, looping textures, hazy drones, and hypnotic rhythms. It retains his signature abstract sampling techniques but integrates a more organic, almost hallucinatory feel, reminiscent of classic Krautrock bands like Cluster, Neu!, and Harmonia.

'Kosmischer Pitch' stands as one of Jelinek’s most evocative and immersive works, bridging the gap between early electronic experimentation and modern ambient minimalism.
