Label: Diagonal – DIAG004
Format: Vinyl, 12", EP
Country: UK
Released: 2013
Genre: Electronic
Style: Experimental, Breaks, Leftfield, Post Rock
Condition: Mint

DIAG004 distils Shit and Shine’s most fractured impulses into just four tracks - each a brief excursion through brittle beats and corrosive texture.

The EP’s opening track, “Blowhannon,” snarls with fractured rhythm, ragged loops and tonal decay. “Value” follows, contorting tempo and mode with off-kilter swell. By “Shower Curtain,” we’re past narrative into something more ritualistic—a battered, repetitive pulse tethered to static and drift. The final cut, “Synthetic Flemm (Shit and Shine Version),” blurs collapse and structure, landing somewhere between ritual applause and mechanical collapse.

DIAG004 feels less like a release and more like an archive of broken transmissions—urgently present yet forever unraveling. A precise, abrasive statement from the crossroads of noise and minimal club form.
