Gudrun Gut makes a triumphant return here with this first peep at her forthcoming full-length ‘Wildlife’. ‘Garten’ is featured here in full, led by Gut’s typically deadpan vocal delivery and is reworked by two of her very capable peers. Jorg Burger (aka Kompakt OG The Modernist) takes us to Koln with a respectful, comb-filtered pop tech rework, but it’s Thomas Fehlmann who takes gold here with two gleefully dusty remixes that remind me of early Pole, Madlib and ‘Loop-Finding-Jazz-Records’-era Jan Jelinek all at once. The first 100 copies were a limited edition including grass stalks from Gudrun's garden, which came inside a hand numbered plastic bag. This is marked 18 of 100.
