Francis Harris and Anthony Collins have been quiet architects of the underground since the turn of the millennium, their work as Frank & Tony carrying the same unhurried conviction that defines Smallville's own catalogue. The record moves through three distinct moods without ever losing its thread. Ways Of Mine opens with billowing pads, cascading metallic chimes and psychedelic spoken word floating over a robust, bouncy rhythm — the pair's signature deep hypnotic house at its most assured. After All follows with a subtly blooming chord sequence and shuffled drums, restrained in the first half before opening into something more dynamic and melodically layered. Dimension closes the record by going deeper still — saturated ethereal pads, bubbling resonant arpeggios, jazzy keys and delayed vocal chants woven around heavily swung drums.
