Echospace Detroit unveils 'Our Life With The Wave' — a heartfelt four-track EP honouring the late, great producer Mike Huckaby. A deep and meditative tribute, capturing a cherished moment in time, rooted in over 15 years of creative kinship and sonic exploration.

Originally conceived in 2008 for the Model 500 'Starlight' remix project, the EP brings together an unreleased Huckaby original—produced that same year—alongside a tribal, dub-soaked rework from Federsen (Alt Dub), and two atmospheric reinterpretations by Stephen Hitchell under his cv313 and Intrusion aliases.

As shared in the press release: “During that period, there was something magical in the air — a creative synergy and understanding of all things deep.” Huckaby’s original mix stems from wavetable sequences he was developing for a sample library at the time, imbuing the track with the raw, lo-fi textures and sweeping transients that defined his signature Detroit sound. A fitting homage to a Detroit visionary who always stayed true to his roots.
