cv313 serves up a reissue of Fading Lights, a beautifully immersive dub techno release from the Detroit-based project of Stephen Hitchell and Rod Modell. Originally released in 2014 and remastered for this limited clear vinyl edition, the EP captures the duo’s signature fusion of deep atmospheres, hypnotic rhythm and analogue warmth.
The title track Fading Lights drifts through a haze of shimmering textures and pulsing low-end, its subtle rhythmic movement suspended within a vast field of echo and reverb. On the flip, Magenta leans further into the hypnotic power of repetition, layering ghostly tones and submerged bass into a deeply meditative soundscape.
Remastered by Stefan Betke (Pole) at Scape Mastering in Berlin from the original session tapes, this is quintessential echospace dub techno — spacious, spiritual and built for total immersion.
