Celer returns via Field Records with the beautifully remastered vinyl edition of Perfectly Beneath Us, a deeply immersive ambient album from Tokyo-based artist Will Long. Originally released in 2012 on Still*Sleep, this reissue - mastered by Stephan Mathieu - highlights a formative period in Celer’s vast catalogue, presenting four slow-moving compositions built from sustained tones, gentle drift and profound restraint.
Formed in California in 2005 by Will Long and Danielle Baquet, Celer evolved into one of modern ambient’s most prolific and emotionally resonant projects. Following Baquet’s passing in 2009, Long continued the project as a meditative exploration of stillness, memory and subtle transformation. Perfectly Beneath Us stands as a perfect entry point into that world - patient, weightless and quietly powerful, rewarding deep listening while offering pure sonic calm.
