Originally released in 1995 on Skam and later adopted into the Warp canon, Twoism captures Boards Of Canada duo at their most raw and formative. This early mini-album lays the foundations for the unmistakable Boards Of Canada aesthetic: woozy tape saturation, childlike melodies, hip-hop-inflected rhythms and a hazy nostalgia that would later define albums like Music Has The Right To Children.

Tracks such as Sixtyniner, Oirectine and Iced Cooly drift between lo-fi beat sketches and warped ambient interludes, while the title track Twoism and 1986 Summer Fire already hint at the emotional weight and uncanny warmth that would become their signature.
