Label: Noorden – TWELVE 11
Format: Black Vinyl, 12", Limited Edition
Country: Germany
Released: Sept 22, 2023
Genre: Electronic
Style: Ambient, House, Leftfield, Techno

Cologne-based experimental electronica outpost Nooden return with a 5-track extended player from label founder Alex Ketzer.

Composed in December 2021, whilst at a remote hunting lodge in the Eifel mountain range straddling the borders of Belgium and Germany, Alex Ketzer continues to "blur the lines of betwixt abstract-adjacent techno and moody atmospherics through intricate narratives and vibrant soundscapes."

Mixed down by Saarbruecken’s very own Roger 23; a producer that’s been making waves with his foray into jack (or how he puts it – “tjeck”) and ambience - 'Fourth Face' packs an array of leftfield sounds, including bubbling electronica, dub house, experimental breaks and reverb soaked ambiance.

Our pick from the release is the final track 'Black Sun' thanks to its emotive ambient atmosphere and pensive piano work, it's a beautiful closer for a remarkable EP. File this track next to Bibio 'Phantom Brickworks'.
